Tulips - Abstract
After a long and cold winter, signs of spring are always uplifting. The tulip beds at Franklin Park had slowly begun their colorful display in late April 2014 . . . providing hope that the harsh winter weather was behind us.
Although I took my fair share of pictorial images of the beds, I was more interested in continuing my abstract project. Using a polarizing filter, in combination with slow shutter speeds, moving the camera provided for interesting abstracts. Also, changing the white balance temperature of the light created vivid colors in the images. After taking hundreds of images (a great deal of trial and error is needed in getting the right combination of light and image flow) I was content with the results.
