Dead Horse Point State Park lies just outside Canyonlands National Park. On my previous trips to the area I had never ventured in to the park. What a mistake. The vistas are breathtaking . . . rivaling the views of the Grand Canyon. Contours of the terrain were sculpted by the Colorado River over many millions of years. Steep drop offs along the rim clearly grab your attention . . . you have to be careful! Oh, did I mention the view?
