Yesterday the rains came. And cooler temperatures. As a result, lawns regained their lushness, flowers once again bloomed and seemed to have a second life and the hummingbirds became more active.

As I stood and photographed the ruby-throateds for an hour or two, I was in the midst of quite a spectacle. The hummingbirds were buzzing all around me . . . dive bombing one another and chasing one another. And here I was stuck in the middle. What an experience!!
