The ruby-throated hummingbirds were back to their old tricks. As I stood in the middle of the "Cutting Garden" a mother and her young son strolled along the stone path admiring the flowers before them. With little warning three hummingbirds demonstrated their aerial acrobatics, whizzing and diving amongst the flowers. They also hovered and zipped around the young boy's head, prompting giggles and awe from the boy. I am glad to say it put a smile upon my face as well.
