Aspens on McClure Pass
Image ID: 10-0144bw
Heading over McClure Pass on Route 133 en route to Telluride, the dense thicket of aspens caught my eye. Using an aperture setting of f/22, the image takes advantage of the depth of field to bring all of the trees into focus.
Quaking aspens, a member of the willow family, are considered the largest plants in the world, with individual trees progeny of a single root system.
